Hi!! I am Charu and I am a qualified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT) and Eye Movement desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. I am an accredited member of British Association of Behavioural and cognitive psychotherapies (BABCP) and work within the ethical guidelines and framework of the same. I receive regular supervision and attend continuous professional development (CPD) for development and improve my professional practice.

I have more than 15 years' experience of working in mental health. I am trained in CBT, CFT, ACT, NET and EMDR treatment approaches. I have worked both in an NHS and a charity based mental health services and have delivered evidence-based therapeutic approaches on a one-to-one basis as well as delivered group therapy to help individuals supporting them to cope with their mental health difficulties.

I specialise in supporting individuals experiencing Depression and anxiety disorders, PTSD, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), Social anxiety, BDD, Body image issues, panic disorder, phobias, skin picking, Trichotillomania and other habit disorders. I also work with clients with Neurodiversity such as ADHD and ASD and support them with managing their symptoms and associated anxiety and depression.

I also work with individuals experiencing low self-esteem, perfectionism, stress, worry, insomnia, anger related issues. I am qualified and experienced in treating mental health issues related to Long Term health issues, including COPD, Chronic pain, Diabetes, fibromyalgia, MS, Coronary heart conditions and use therapeutic interventions to support improving quality of life and build emotional resilience.

I am trained and experienced in providing disorder specific treatment, as well as to work trans-diagnostically. I work with individuals to identify their common factors maintaining their distress and help them make positive changes.

In my routine practice, I regularly see individuals remotely using various digital platforms to enhance access and convenience.

I am fluent in spoken and written Hindi and Punjabi and have delivered treatment in both the languages over the last 15 years.

• I am flexible with the appointments I provide, offering daytime, evening and weekend sessions to suit.

• I offer therapies to clients in the UK and worldwide (Except USA & Canada).
